Resources

When can I visit the Library?

You will visit every 2 weeks with your Language Arts class.

If you need to return a book, you may place it in the book drop before school between 7:50 and 8:00, or after school before leaving. There are 3 book return bins placed around the building that you may use to return books well: by the front office, 100 hall fountains, and bus doors.

Passive Programming in the Library

Passive Programming is a fun way to become involved in the library without necessarily reading a book! Students are able to challenge their brains and be part of a community by completing puzzles, playing card games, playing chess, adding to the community coloring pages, voting in weekly prompts, enjoying holiday and celebratory themed activities, and more!

"Wilbur students have loved these additions to library, and it’s a great way for them feel like part of the library." Mrs. Thackery changes these up weekly, monthly and annually, with new options being added all the time!

Guide to Book Care

  • Keep your books in a safe place.
  • Return your books on time.
  • Do not eat or drink while reading library books.
  • Keep books away from pets and little ones.
  • Use a bookmark.
  • If the library book has been damaged, bring it to your librarian. Do not repair the book yourself. Your librarian has the right tools and training to fix books.
  • If you lose your book or it is damaged while in your care, you will need to pay to replace it. Talk to your librarian.
